Moments That Matter – For Families, For Students, For Our Whole Community

At Bethany, we believe it’s the little things — the shared moments, the laughter, the sense of belonging — that shape our experience of Bethany. That’s why we create Moments that Matter throughout the year. They’re designed to bring us together, to strengthen connection, and to celebrate learning in meaningful, joyful ways.

Some moments are about families and community:

  • Our Exhibition Evening gave children a chance to share their learning with pride — and helped families see the growth that happens every day in our classrooms.
  • The first Friends of Bethany Trivia Night brought parents, staff and friends together for a night of laughter and connection — the start of something new and lasting.
  • Our reimagined Mother’s and Father’s Day celebrations offered time for families to enjoy a picnic/sausage sizzle and have fun together.

And some moments are just for our students — experiences designed to spark joy, build connection, and create lifelong memories:

  • The Colour Run, Crazy Hair Day, Silly Sock Day and Wacky Wednesday brought colour, energy and celebration to the school yard. These small, fun days go a long way in building community spirit and giving kids a sense of identity and pride.
  • Our camps and excursions gave students the chance to learn beyond the classroom — building independence, teamwork and a sense of adventure.
  • At the end of the year, we’ll gather for our Celebration of Learning and Awards Ceremony — a chance to pause, reflect and recognise the growth and achievements of every child.

These are the moments our students remember — when they felt seen, celebrated, included, and part of something bigger than themselves.

Moments that Matter don’t need to be big or perfect. They just need to be real. And together, they create a school culture where everyone — students, staff and families — feel like they belong.

Thank you for showing up, cheering us on, and helping make these moments happen. They matter — more than you know.
