Our People

At Bethany, our greatest strength is our people. We are blessed with a team of passionate, Christ-centred educators and support staff deeply committed to nurturing each child’s growth. United by our love for learning and our heart for children, we work together with care, purpose, and professionalism to create a personalised, safe, and supportive environment where young people can flourish—academically, emotionally, and spiritually.

From the moment a child walks through our gates, they are known and welcomed by name—not just in their classroom, but by staff across the school. This intentional culture of connection reflects our belief that when children feel seen and valued, they are more open to learning, building friendships, and growing in confidence.

Our Educators

Our educators are committed to high-quality, personalised learning. They use student data thoughtfully to tailor learning experiences that meet each child's needs and support them to move forward. One key way we do this is through feedforward—timely, proactive feedback that gives students clear steps for improvement before assessments. This approach builds ownership, confidence, and a mindset for growth.

Teaching at Bethany is engaging, creative, and responsive. Our staff design learning experiences that spark curiosity and ensure strong literacy, numeracy, and inquiry foundations. Team teaching occurs where appropriate, benefiting students from multiple educators working together and modelling collaboration and professional dialogue.

To further support personalised learning in every classroom:

  • From Prep to Year 3, each class is supported by a dedicated learning assistant who works closely with the teacher to support students in small groups or one-on-one.

  • From Years 4 to 6, a learning assistant is shared across each year level, offering flexible, needs-based support in literacy, numeracy and across the curriculum.

We also recognise that to care for our students well, we must care for our staff, too. The well-being of our educators is a top priority. We use the THRIVE Wellbeing Framework, based on ARACY's research, to support our team’s health, connection, and professional growth. Our staff feel seen, supported, and valued—because they are.

Professional learning is a key part of life at Bethany. Across the year, our staff engage in over 150 hours of high-impact professional development, keeping them energised, equipped, and informed by current research and best practices. They plan collaboratively with our Director of Learning and Director of Personalisation to deliver learning experiences aligned with Version 9 of the Australian Curriculum—ensuring that learning is purposeful, inclusive, and future-focused.

At Bethany, teaching is more than a job—it’s a calling. Our educators bring not only expertise but also heart to the classroom. Together, they create a learning culture where every child is known, supported, challenged, and celebrated.

Our Support Team

While our teachers are at the forefront of your child’s school experience, our incredible support staff play an equally important role in helping Bethany run smoothly and warmly daily.

Our friendly and professional bus drivers are often the first and last people your child sees daily. They ensure safe and reliable transport, greet every student with a smile, and contribute to a positive start and finish to each school day.

Our approachable and warm administration team are Bethany's welcoming faces. Whether you’re dropping off a note, making an enquiry, or needing a listening ear, they are always ready to help with calm, kindness, and care.

Behind the scenes, we also have dedicated groundskeepers, IT support, and operational staff who keep our school functioning beautifully—maintaining safe and inspiring spaces for learning, play, and worship.

Together, our whole team—teachers, learning assistants, leaders, and support staff—work with one shared mission: to help every child at Bethany grow into the person God created them to be.
