Messy Church

We believe in the importance of faith being woven into the life of our community—not just during the school day, but in the special moments we share outside the classroom too. One of those moments is Messy Church—a joyful, hands-on, family-friendly gathering that brings faith, fun, and connection together in a relaxed and welcoming space.

Messy Church is held in the Bethany church building on Tuesdays of Week 3 and Week 8 each term, starting at 5.00 pm. It’s designed for families and their children to come together, explore faith through creativity, and enjoy time in community.

What to expect at Messy Church

Messy Church isn’t a traditional church service—it’s an experience. It’s informal, interactive, and full of life. Each gathering includes:

  • A short, family-friendly worship time

  • A Bible story or message shared in a way children can understand

  • A range of creative, themed activities and craft stations

  • Opportunities for children and adults to explore faith together in practical and meaningful ways

  • Time to connect with others in a relaxed, welcoming environment

  • A shared meal to finish—because food brings people together

There’s no pressure, no need to dress up, and no expectation to know anything in advance—just come as you are.
