Friends of Bethany

We believe in the power of community and the joy that comes from serving and growing together. Friends of Bethany is our parent and caregiver volunteer group that plays a vital role in nurturing connection, celebrating our students, and bringing our school events to life.

More than just a group of helpers, Friends of Bethany is a welcoming and inclusive team that supports the school in creating meaningful, memorable moments for our students and families. From organising special events to running stalls or helping behind the scenes, Friends of Bethany brings energy, generosity, and heart to everything they do.

What Friends of Bethany does

Friends of Bethany is a flexible group that meets throughout the year to plan, prepare, and support a range of school activities, including:

  • Mother’s Day and Father’s Day stalls

  • BBQs and community meals

  • An annual community event

The group also helps to foster a strong sense of community among families—welcoming new parents, creating space for connection, and building the kind of school culture that makes Bethany feel like home.

A place for everyone

Whether you have a little time to offer or a lot, there’s a place for you in Friends of Bethany. It's intentionally flexible so parents and carers can offer a level of involvement that suits their lifestyle. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, makes a difference.

Why it matters

The work of Friends of Bethany isn’t just about events. It’s about community. It’s about being part of something bigger, setting an example of service for our children, and creating moments that students will remember for years to come. It’s about the laughs, the friendships, and the shared joy of doing something meaningful together.
