Learning - Courageously Reimagining Learning
Learning - Courageously Reimagining Learning
At Bethany, we believe that school must be courageously reimagined in how we teach and the learning spaces we create.
The world is changing faster than ever before. For our young people to thrive, education needs to evolve too.
Traditional school systems were designed for a different time — and they don't always meet the needs of today's learners.
That's why we are committed to doing things differently, guided by the latest research and neuroscience. We want every student to grow into a confident, capable, and courageous learner who can thrive in — and shape — the future.
Our approach includes:
- Entrepreneurial Learning
- Students are encouraged to think creatively and solve real-world problems.
- In Year 5, students design and create a sustainable product to sell at a school market. They will pitch their idea to a panel of judges later this term.
- Project-Based Learning (PBL)
- Students take on meaningful projects that connect learning to real life.
- They might design a sustainable garden, build a model community, or create solutions to social challenges.
- Real-Life Learning
- Our Life Lab program helps students build practical skills, leadership, and collaboration.
- Students work across age groups on passion projects like gardening, cooking, robotics, community service, and media production.
- Through our Self Sense program, students build self-awareness, resilience, emotional literacy, and social skills — essential life skills that will serve them well into adulthood.
At Bethany, we're not just preparing children for the world — we're empowering them to shape it.
We are proud to be a school that dares to imagine something better for every child.
