Why Parents Choose Bethany
Bethany Parent - 2024
I cannot recommend Bethany Lutheran Primary School highly enough. It has been my experience that they provide a nurturing environment that combines strong Christian values with inclusivity, innovative learning practices, and a positive school culture for families.
We have been at Bethany since my oldest son started Prep 6 years ago and I have seen the school evolving more positively each year. I feel that the school has been forging ahead in leaps and bounds over the past year and I am very excited about the direction it is working towards.
Their innovative learning practices set them apart from other primary schools in the area. The teachers here go above and beyond to engage students in interactive and creative learning experiences. From project-based learning to technology integration, the school is constantly finding new ways to inspire and educate our kids. My children love the new "Lifelabs" being offered which allows them to follow their interests in a fun way with their peers and I love that they are constantly looking for new fun activities to add to the long list of opportunities offered. They are also now offering a large range of extra-curricular activities which is great for busy families.
I have found that the positive school culture at Bethany also extends beyond the classroom to include families as well. The sense of community that the school has built is wonderful and the addition of opportunities for families to come together at gatherings such as "Messy Church" evenings and "life together family workshops" to socialise as well as learn together about important topics in raising our children is wonderful.
I personally have found these opportunities to connect with other families has been a great source of support in my parenting journey. Through the addition of these programs, Bethany has encouraged and supported parents to be actively involved in their child’s education, creating a supportive network that benefits everyone involved.
They say it takes a village to raise children and I feel that I have made some long lasting friendships with many other parents which was really important to me and has been a great source of support.
Over the past year I have been really impressed with the way they have engaged with parents and students to help create the framework for the schools strategic direction. They really seem to understand that ultimately, as parents we know the needs of our children best and they are showing they are trying to accommodate these needs.
I am grateful to have found such a wonderful school for my children and am very excited to see the school continue to evolve in its exciting new direction.
