Lutheran TapestryACLE 3

The Australian Conference on Lutheran Education  held in Melbourne from the 1st - 3rd October  was an exciting event and one that Mrs Rowan and I will remember for a long time. Arts Enrichment Day
Written by Mr Schiller
Friday, 05 September 2008

Arts Enrichment DayOn Wednesday 10th September there was an atmosphere of excitement  as students enjoyed a special day of celebrating the arts!

The children moved through three electives that they had chosen from the available list. All had creations that they could take home or new skills that they had acquired and could demonstrate. All the students I talked with said that they had a great day and were enjoying the group in which they were participating.

Thankyou to Miss Mays for initiating and organising the day and to all the staff and parents involved in running the elective activities!

Fluffy CreaturesStudents loved our Art Enrichment Day. At one of the activities students created their own fluffy creatures. Some were colorful, cute, scary and hairy!

Written by Mrs Schiller
Thursday, 18 September 2008

PrepS builds a church! We decided to change our hospital into another kind of community place and the children chose a church. So we decided to replicate Bethany Church.

The children thought that music was very important so we got guitars and a keyboard. We needed a stage so we brought outdoor blocks inside and used our home corner furniture turned sideways for the altar.
