DIRECTOR OF LEARNING 

Bethany Lutheran Primary Schools seeks the services of a highly motivated, dynamic, and passionate Director of Learning to join our team in 2022. This educational leader is to be responsible for the realisation of our strategic priorities through the development, leadership, and provision of a contemporary curriculum design, constructed upon current educational research that empowers the learner.

Tenure and Conditions

This is a permanent full-time position.

As per the Queensland Lutheran Schools Single Enterprise Agreement 2020, inclusive of PAR allowances.

The PAR will be for an initial period of 3 years, with an initial 6 months probationary period.

This position will have a teaching load as determined by the Principal.

Selection Criteria

Candidates are asked to submit a document, not exceeding five (5) pages in length, addressing the points below: 

1. A strong commitment to the Christian faith and a desire to serve.

2. Demonstrated capacity to be an empathetic listener, an engaging and persuasive speaker, and a diplomatic communicator with strong written communication skills.

3. Demonstrated leadership capacity to realise the strategic vision and intentions of the School, to lead and manage change. 

4. Comprehensive understanding of the Australian Curriculum and the expectations and requirements of governing bodies such as the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA)

5. Able to develop positive relationships with staff, students, parents and the wider community.

6. Experience in collecting, analysing, and responding to data. 

7. Able to demonstrate excellent organisation and administration skills.
