At our Book Week Parade, Mrs Crump was very proud to launch Bethany’s Little Library Street Library, which is located just outside the Library, facing the courtyard. Mrs Crump would like to acknowledge and thank the P & F for their support, providing the funds to purchase the materials required to build our Street Library and to the Ball family, for constructing and painting it. Without this wonderful support and shared enthusiasm, our Street Library would still be just a dream.
Street Libraries are an exciting way to share books and instil the joy and love of reading, in your local community. Books come and go; no-one needs to check them in or out – you simply chose a book that interests you and take it. When you have finished, you are encouraged to return the book to the Street Library or pass it onto friends. If you have books that you think others would enjoy, you can just pop them into the Street Library. The main idea is – take a book, give a book, share a book.
We are very happy to accept donations of books for Bethany’s Little Library. Books can be placed directly onto the shelves or handed to myself if the shelves are full.
Bethany’s Little Library has been registered with Street Library and is currently only 1 of 2 Street Libraries registered in Ipswich. More information about Street Libraries can be found at https://streetlibrary.org.au/
