In 2015, Bethany Lutheran Primary School hosted its first ever Grandfriends' Morning!
Grandparents, grandfriends and special friends often have a direct role in relation to the care and nurture of our children; their love and support is vital. We would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their commitment to our families.
Grandparents and other older adults can be very important people in children’s lives. Children feel a sense of pride and accomplishment when they know that people in their extended family and community are interested in their education. So, having a special celebration! Grandfriends' Day recognises the importance of our heritage, our community, and relationships across generations.
Since 2015, Grandfriends' Day has grown bigger and better each year! Each year, more than 240 grandfriends visit our school across the morning, visit classrooms, and spend time with their grandchildren. The morning concludes in the Undercover Area with a lovely morning tea.
