2010 heralded in a new era for Lutherans in Ipswich. It was the start of the next 150 years of Lutheran worship in Ipswich.  This considerable milestone was celebrated on the weekend of the 20-21 Feb 2010 with a special dinner and a Service of Thanksgiving for 150 years of blessing on Sunday. A History Book was published and launched over the weekend.

Parish History

The Ipswich Lutheran Parish (ILP) officially came into existence on February 11, 2001. Up to this time there were five Lutheran congregations. To enable the Parish to form, St. Lukes Lutheran Congregation (Ipswich) decided to close in November 2000. We appreciate, and thank God for their sacrifice. St Marks Lutheran Congregation (Brassall) continues to remain a separate entity.
